Privacy notice

1. Controller

2. Data processed

The following information is processed when a request is created:

• Name, company and email address of the requesting person.
• STEP/STP files, optional PDF drawings, notes and part markers.
• Geometry and analysis values, material, quantity, price proposal and generated offer.
• Technical log data such as time, IP address, requested page and browser information where required for operation and security, plus the approximate request location derived from the IP address.

3. Purpose of processing

The data is used to review the request, analyse the part, create and provide an offer, classify the request's approximate place of origin, answer questions, and operate the tool securely and reliably. Processing is necessary to handle the request and prepare or perform a business relationship.

4. Automatic price calculation

The tool automatically creates a non-binding price proposal based on STEP geometry, selected information, stored rules and confirmed reference values. A human review can be requested at any time via info@ebformen.ch if there are questions or suspected errors.

5. Access, providers and international processing

Access is limited to people and providers who need it for quote preparation, support, hosting or security. Data is not sold.

• Dundurs Consulting GmbH may access required data on behalf of Büsser Formenbau AG for technical operation and support.
• The tool is hosted by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (AWS) in the Frankfurt data region, Germany. Where AWS uses additional subprocessors, AWS contractual privacy and security terms apply. The email provider will be added here before email delivery is enabled.
• For a one-time approximate location lookup, the IP address is transmitted securely to the IPWhois.io geolocation service. Only the country code, region and city are stored with the request, not the full IP address.

6. Retention and deletion

Data is not retained longer than required for its purpose. The following periods apply in the tool:

• STEP/STP files and PDF drawings: generally 90 days.
• Request, analysis and offer data: generally 365 days.
• Requests protected as real orders: until protection ends plus 90 days; protection must be reviewed at least annually.
• Technical server logs: 30 days; backups: 14 days.

7. Pricing and learning values

Customer requests are not added to the learning dataset automatically. Separately confirmed test and reference values may be stored to improve pricing. Contact details, free text and original files do not belong in this dataset.

8. Cookies and tracking

No analytics or advertising trackers are used on the public request page. The protected admin area only uses a technically necessary, time-limited session cookie.

9. Data security

Data is transmitted securely over HTTPS. The admin area is access-controlled, the application and database are not directly accessible from the internet, and technical backups and limited retention periods are in place.

10. Rights and contact

Data subjects may request access, correction or deletion of their personal data and send questions to info@ebformen.ch. A complaint may also be submitted to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
